Ohr V'Daas is a state-approved, not-for-profit special needs school in Chestnut Ridge, NY. Since the early 1990s it has taught children and young adults ages 5 to 21, including kids on the autism spectrum and students with Down syndrome, cerebral palsy, and intellectual or learning disabilities, each at their own pace in small classes. The program covers academics, life skills, behavior support, and vocational training that leads to real job placements, and parents get workshops, counseling, and help carrying behavior strategies over to home.
